Aluminum main triangle, bonded to steel lugs with a steel rear triangle & fork. Bought ths frameset for $20 with a seized BB (took days to remove) and it cleaned up amazingly well. Went the 650 route because it seemed like a good call on a bike that will rarely see serious off road. Might be a tad small for me.
