1998 Strath Cruiser LWB Recumbent

The first LWB recumbent I built. It uses a under seat steering system, also my first try at this.

Frame:
A 1.3/4" square steel main frame connecting recycled bike frame parts.

Fork/Headset:
A 20" kids multi-speed bike.

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
A trimmed down BB from a old mountain bike.

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
A 15 speed mountain bike set-up.

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Base level Shimano equipment.

Brakes:
Side pull front brakes and canilever rear brakes.

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
20" by 1.75"

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
26" by 1.90 city slick tire that was used on my 1993 mountain bike in touring mode.

Accessories:
Rear carrying rake.

More Info:
This was my first LWB recumbent design. It was designed for someone else but I bought the frame set back to built it myself. It was a very good bike to ride but I had too many bikes so this one found a new owner.
