1999 Hand Bike

A project built for a disabilied person in London, ON. Just the normal amount of recycled bike parts mix. It was built in 1999.

Frame:
The front drive train section has leg mounting points to allow the legs to sit in place.

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
A one piece crank arm. I prefered the use of a 3 piece assembly to allow the two crank arms to face the same way but the customer wanted the set shown in the final assembly.

Pedals:
Handle grips mounted on to the pedals to allow rider the use their hands to move the bike.

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
A 38 tooth chain is used to get a lower gear ration for easier use when ridden.

Derailleurs/Shifters:
None

Saddle/Seatpost:
An old office chain converted for use on the bikes frame.

Brakes:
Coaster Brake

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
20" 405mm sized tire/ rim

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
20" 405mm sized tire/ rims

Accessories:
Rear carrier rack.
