'82 Bianchi ECO Pista

Got a sweet deal on this bike. It came with all of it's original components (a full Gipiemme track group), but I've swapped some of it out to preserve them, and make the bike more street friendly.

Frame:
'82 Bianchi ECO Pista, 53cm

Fork/Headset:
stock / Ofmega

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Gipiemme Special / Gipiemme

Pedals:
Time Atac Alium

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Surly 19t / TA Specialities 46t / Regina 80

Handlebars/Stem:
3ttt Grand Prix / 3ttt 80mm

Saddle/Seatpost:
Concor Supercorsa / Campagnolo Aero

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Cane Creek track 20h / Gatorskin 25c

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Cane Creek track 24h / Gatorskin 28c

Accessories:
brass bell

More Info:
Beautiful Italian steel. 46/19 ratio to spin up and skid down these Seattle hills. New pics to come.

This thing is clean beyond belief makes my 83 eco pista look like a hood rat. Any idea on how to identify the year on these frames?

Naw, yours still looks tight. I have a serial number around the seat collar of mine. It's faint, but it's there. Mine starts with a 2, so I know it's an 82.

I've admired this bike since I first saw it on Velospace. Beautiful and understated.

HEY! THAT'S MY BIKE! just kiddind, but it really does look a lot like the one I owned back in Brooklyn in 1983. They're awesome bikes. It was my first fixed gear. I would ride it from Babylon, NY to Brooklyn every Friday to work as a waiter and then back to LI on Monday. All with a tuxedo suit over my arm.
You really bring back memories. Thx.

do you know if it's possible to get replacement decals? I picked up an 82/83 pista today but it doesn't have the decals. I've checked eBay and I only see ones that are similar, not exactly the same.
