More Info:
One day, while walking near a friends house, I passed an open garage and noticed a few sweet lugged steel rides in it- one of which was the celeste green pista. I poked my head in to inspect further, and was greeted by the house's owner, who I quickly realized was none other than Bill Nye (The Science Guy). He is super friendly, we got to chatting, turns out he's a bike nut! After an hour of shooting the bike shit, I inquired about the pista, and he mentioned he hadn't ridden it in years, as he was getting too old for a track bike. My eyes lit up, but I kept it cool and casually offered to give it a new home. He thought it sounded like a good idea, insisted I took the tubular track wheelset as part of the deal, and one week later I was the proud new owner of this sweet ride. I went to work: repacked the bottom bracket, swapped the drop bars for nitto jitensha, the sr post for a nos ITM I had in the garage, added the sweet conti tires, blue brooks saddle and wrap. It's a little small for me, and honestly I don't like the aggressive riding position as much as my other rides, but it looks damn good and comes with a sweet story!
