Would the 53mm offrake funda fork be a little too fragile because of the offrake?

Yo Danny! How do you like your gold medal pro? I'm thinking about getting one but not sure if it's worth the money?

DanV says:

Yeah man definitely a deference you can feel and also is very silent when u pair it up with a nice chain and chainring, to me it is worth it, just make sure ur certain about ur ratio ;)

BRNDNLPZ says:

Yeah, definitely. I'm shooting for the same ratio you have or possibly a 53/17. I just heard that there isn't a huge difference between the gold medal and superstar, so I'm trying to see which is the best bang for my buck. Any tips besides standard cleaning when trying to keep the gold enamel from wearing down? I hear the biggest difference between the superstar and gold medal is the special coating, which will wear off no matter what when riding street.

Its mostly the same shit! Only thing other then the Titanium nitride coating, Is that the teeth have been further profiled by hand. Quite frankly tis a better cog overall.

As for the coating wearing off its true.
After several thousand miles mine is still coated and runs quite ;)
