hi!! great buy, I have both and I love them. ZIPP 303 were tubular. I sold them and now im riding phil wood laced to mavic tubular... once you try tubular you cant go back. Have fun with the new frame!!

Yeah but the problem is that I live in Sweden and we don't have a velodrome here... So I want the clincher so it can be easy to change if I'm getting a flat... I'm also thinking of building my own wheels and I wonder if the mack hubs were any good?

You have track in sweden!! in Goteborg I think... but for street use with track bike better go for a clincher wheelset, because skids and tubular dont have a good relationship. Mack hubs are amazing, the worked so well and the price is so good. And I have a pair of PW so I know what good hubs are...

Yes but Gothenburg is three hours drive from Malmo so I have never been there hah. And does the mack fits with the sapim CX-Ray? But do you have any suggestions on some clincher rims that looks like the 303?

Ah... what a shame. Well find a day and go ride in track... its a good experience. CX Ray spokes work with ALL hubs, because the blade section is wide as the circular section, so dont worry about that. BUT, for a track wheelset, and even more is it is for street use mostly, I would go for basic spokes (circular), and maybe butted. They are stiffer and I think it cares more than aerodynamics. You can find 303 clincher rims... even with carbon wall, but they are more expensive. I wouldn' t go for carbon rims for street use, and even less if they are clincher. Carbon wheels are really profitable with tubulars. In alloy rims I had archetype in this bike and I was so happy with them (laced to mack hubs).

Yeah you are probably right but I have had a 88mm rear carbon clincher wheel and that one worked perfectly! I'm not really going to use it for real street use, more for road and longer rides.

Well... everything seems to work good until you try a really good wheelset. I think a 88mm rim is so heavy... and the aerodynamic effects starts at really high speeds (and maybe they dont if its a chinesse rim). So you have a heavy wheel without aero benefits... Thats why I would go for tubular carbon rims(zipp, ffww, enve...) or alloy clincher (h+son, mavic, easton...). If you are gonna use it for road use for a tubular wheelset... if you ha

if you have to change a tire its not that difficult. And the liquids and gels for tubulars work so good... so if the hole is not so big you dont have to change it.

yes I agree, it's way too heavy! I still want to do some skidding so that's why I don't want tubular... I will keep my eyes opened for some 303 clincher ;) thanks for all the help!
