This is probably the bike that more than any other, caused the UCI to stop the progression in bike frames. After Chris Boardman rode 56.375km in an hour (4.105km further than the previous record), the UCI decided all future bikes would be a diamond shape, with limits on the size of the tubes. This replica is being built so people down in our part of the world can see what helped shape the bikes we ride today.
