Btw, I'm having thoughts of changing to clipless. I've adapted to straps/clips as I'm always riding on the streets but would you recommend switching to clipless?

I've almost always worn clipless. If you ride with cages you really need stiff sole shoes or you'll stress the arch in your foot and won't get as much power. My commuter has cages though, for the short rides to school.
