Any will work. As long as it's 1.37 TPI aka, any freewheel that's 16T or above. I've replaced three on my ellipse so far, no issues at all!! Phenominal wheel

Unfortunately my fixed gear riding skills aren't too fantastic yet, but I'm getting there utilizing my LeTour conversion!

Not with a gear that big. Drop your gear inches and you'll be amazed how pure fixed gear riding is.

I have this gear for strictly road riding with a freewheel, so I can keep up on road rides. My other bike is my fixed gear, and I'm changing the 48T to a 46T this week, I think that a 46-16 will be perfect on a fixed for my area

I find 46/16 perfect for 90% of road riding. I swap to 47/17 when in the hills in the South West (Cornwall)
