More Info:
Some adjustments needed for the rough terrain of the Scottish Highlands. The French Divide taught me to bring a larger spread of gears on the 1x setup and to pack smart, so i'd still be able to shoulder the bike when necessary. The biggest change in riding quality would be the front suspension which takes care of the bumps and lifts the front of the bike up by 10mm. This in turn changes the angles a little bit for easier descending and raises the bracket for pedal clearance.
Weight is 13kg. and probably 22/23 when packed.

yes, the french divide is modeled after the tour divide that traverses the USA from Canada to Mexico. we averaged 170 km a day, mostly off-road. 10+ hour rides is where it's at!

Next weekend is going to be the maiden voyage (through Luxembourg) for this bike I'm planning to use. My training has been pretty weak but I hope this bike tailor made for the event will stoke the fuel!

Thanks! Training started in Februari. The race is in august but the bike should be ready end of this month.
