The bike was initially built with a Soma Sparrow 56cm townie bar which required extra cable length. When I switched to flatbars I kept the extra cable in case I switch back to the townie bars and the best way to route the longer cables without creating weird bends was to cross them over the handlebar.

This is cool. Haven't seen racebike and townie-like bars combined before, seems like a comfy way to ride. If this was my bike, I'd swap the tires to black ones, and maybe unscrew the v- /canti-sticks from seatstays. Then I'd be happy. (Of course this is just superficial nitpicking)
