Visp TRXNL-2 Coomer said it rides like a Cadillac! (I think he was calling me fat) Sold 6/23/11. I really loved this bike and only sold it because I bought a Fuji track pro from nashbar and didn't want both. The visp is by far my favorite budget aluminum frame and honestly I think it's better than a leader for urban riding. It's no Mash Cinelli, but it's more than worth what I paid for it. The guy who bought it got a great deal built up with full carbon fork and the mavic cxp30s/dura ace rear. All in all I lost some money but I got two or three amazing months with this bike, and am really glad to show it off immortalized on this site.

really pretty pleased. second day with the velocitys i rode it 68 miles, fueled by chai lattes.
Gave this the stealth treatment and even though it's heavy and kind of a bulldozer, i like it a lot. *sold*

Do Visp frames run small? I heard you mention on another page saying the 55 felt like a 53?

Where did you get the Bianchi Decal from?

And The Visp is gone!?
RIP Visp "Bianchai", hope your new home is as great as Charlie seemed to be to you!

Awesome job. Looks like a ninja!
Say, where can I pick up a Visp frame? I'm deciding between that and a Leader 721, and I can't find it on eBay or anywhere else.

mycycool is the ebay seller. it's just listed under 'track frame' usually or 'track bike'. and honestly the visp is a shit deal right now considering nashbar is clearing out FTP frames. i am selling this now that my FTP frame has shipped.

Charlie, can i ask, how did you remove the VISP decals from the frame?
Posted almost 1 year ago
The TRXNL-2 comes without logos. it's a flat black paint job, not as nice or durable as the glossy logoed ones but it's flat with no stickers or logos.

aahh Thanks for your reply, your visp is the best looking one i've seen and motivates me to get one of these frames

keep thinking it is a super pista. nice build
Posted about 1 year ago
it's kind of funny, if i could find a 2008 concept i'd sell a baby for one, but the super pista does next to nothing for me. This bike is great for a beat around town bike. Paint's already hurtin'

what size frame is this, btw
Posted about 1 year ago
Frame is a 55cm and geo/measurements are on ebay listings. they measure c-t and it's more like a 53.

Looks more like a 725 than a Bianchi. At any rate, I think this is the first Visp I've actually liked. Well done Charles!
Posted about 1 year ago
It does... the downtube and top tube are very similar to the rush hour pro and leader, but I think they use much much heavier stock for the stays, st and ht. Still, I like the bike and it's far cheaper than a 725 and just about as stiff. I'd really like to do a side by side comparison of the frames to see what differences there are, if any.

I know my VISP frame was not far off of dog shit. The seat stays were crooked as was the chain stays. I dident think it was as smooth of a ride as the leader either. Its worth the $130 but id recommend getting a solid frame. You put time and money into a nice bike, i wouldent skimp on the frame. Im only saying this from experience. The bike looks sharp as hell tho, none the less. Nicely done my man

Thanks, yeah it's no work of art but honestly i don't think it's that much worse than other bikes i've ridden that are up to 500 for the frameset.

Nice man! great frame for the money! I enjoyed mine! Did you have seatpost fitting issues?
Posted about 1 year ago
I was super careful when tightening the clamp. the tube is big for a 27.2 and the binder bolt threads weren't quite right for how much it had to pull, but still very happy so far.

DONOT ADJUST YOUR SEATPOST EVER AGAIN I adjusted it a few times and SNAP I pulled the threads right off -____- I put a soda can shim and filed down the female side flat and put a bolt there.
