Looking for a 26"-wheeled steel mountain bike or frame. Affordable complete build - $500 max, preferably less - or a sub $300 frameset.

-steel frame - 19" to 20" size
-rigid fork not required, but preferred
-V-brake studs required (disc mounts for future upgrade okay)

I like 90's Kona (Kilauea, Explosif, Hot), Specialized (Stumpjumper, S-Works Steel), etc.

Let's see what you've got!

Better off looking on your local Craigslist.
I don't think it's worth to get a cheap mtb shipped

Been watching craigslist all over the region.

Also I have done local deals on here that were easier than screwing with craigslist and filtering out scammers/spammers.

How about a Trek 930, 950, 970, 990? I'd love a True Temper steel frame.
