This is my 1987 Specialized Stumpjumper commuter. The color is hard to name, it looks like a Forest Service kinda green, and it rides like zippy Cadillac.I got the bike used on Craigslist, skinned the whole thing and overhauled all the bearings, tunned the breaks, and threw a new chain on it.I also slapped on a pair of phat Schwalbe Big Apples on the anodized rims, this thing is fast, cushy, and hopes curbs like a goat on drugs. I then took it a step further and hang a Velo Orange front rack and zip-tied a front Wald basket on it, Rivendell style. I've found this set-up effective in carrying my u-lock, a six-pack, some chips, and a rain jacket.
