thinking of buying one, but my friend has a 2010 super pista and his has toe overlap...with the straight fork does your 2012 have toe overlap? lmk

PlaidOut says:

Uhm. It does... Slightly. But it's almost unnoticed . Rarely will my toe rub but if it does it doesn't effect much at all.

Keep all your components black dude. It looks so sexy and clean. It really brings out the color of the frame too. Just my opinion!

Well only think I might change is the chainring ... The zen chainring I am looking at is silver but would be on a black ominium crankset.

Pretty solid buildup you got there. As for crank recommendations go, I'd recommend Dura- Ace FC7600's with a Hatta Swan R9400 BB, ran them for quite some time.

But to each his own, just my two cents.

Yea, can't go wrong w dura ace.
I can't decide between sugino 75's, ominiums or dura - ace FC7600's.

I'd upgrade cranks first for sure. If you're simply looking for a trispoke I'd suggest even getting the non branded wheels from china. You can buy them brand new and almost half the price of a used HED 3

Posted almost 10 years ago

PlaidOut

PlaidOut says:

Just google it?

Yea, either sugino 75 or Ominium.

JSTEWART304 says:

Just type carbon trispoke in the ebay search engine. They're everywhere. I plan on getting one. I actually just bought a set of 88mm carbon clinchers for my next bike and wanted a front clincher trispoke but didn't want to pay $500 or more on a used wheel

PlaidOut says:

I was looking at CarbonZone wheels. They have some and I've heard nothing but great/good things about em on forums.

The front clincher is about 200$. I'm looking for carbon wall/bladed spokes too

I've never heard of carbon zone but that would work for sure

I doubt that a Zen chainring will fit your messanger cranks..
Nice bike though

PlaidOut

PlaidOut says:

Yea, your rights the messenger is 130 BCD and all track chain rings are 144BCD Meaning messenger crank arms are too small.
I am looking at getting a Sugino 75 crank or FSA with Zen CR.

I'm so glad you know not to get an aerojoke! Lmao um, I guess HED3 is the best choice, personally I'd de-sticker it but it's your choice. Or you could get a notorious BLB. I would advise maybe looking through eBay or local Craigslist's if you're looking for cheaper.
