This is such a nice piece - everything about it. Any touring adventures? Verdict?

Did a 2 day dirt tour with a Surly Nice Rack I have and some Ortlieb Panniers, which kept rattling off. Now using some Porcelian Rocket bags and awaiting a lighter Tubus Duo rack. Also using a Swift Industries Zeitgeist in the rear with a frame bag ordered for a tour this year from Portland to SF along the Sierra Cascades ACA route. You can see my last setup from an overnight at the end of 2015: https://www.instagram.com/p/_-YwNYj47b

As for the bike itself, the front shifting could be smoother, but other than that, all this has been super solid. I WTB Nano 40Cs seated on the Belgiums with ease and I've been running them down to ~25 PSI without burps.

I got 40cm bars because thats what I run on my road bike, but I may replace it with something wider or maybe with a bit more flare like the new Salsa Cowchipper bar. I just want a bit more torque on the front wheel when its weighed down for touring.

Love it.

I need to get a wider gear range on mine - you're definitely doing it right.

I wanted something really low since this bike gets racks and camp gear occasionally and I still want to be able to get up gravel climbs :)

You're making me want the VBC cranks and Nanos even more, haha! This looks like so much fun set up like this. I agree completely with moose.
