‘91 Vetta Pista Columbus Max

1991 Vetta pista most likely built by Antonio Taverna, Vetta’s chief builder at this time. Contract-built for Zagers (a Belgian bike shop) probably for a club racer. Frame and fork are full lugged Columbus Max tubing. 55cm x 55cm c-c. Frame has been fully hand restored and repainted. Restoration and build are not period-accurate, but I tried to respect the heritage of the bike. Frame was partially chrome dipped to above bottom bracket, fork was fully chromed. Italian bb. The build is a mix of Italian/Japanese and American components, but eventually will be fully vintage Italian. Purchased from Pista Mercato, which was a great experience.
