was never a fan of the D2 or the Super Pista until I saw your bike. This is a super super badass and clean set up!

i love that crankset and zipp wheelset! cool bike

Thanks man! However just don't love my zipp wheels someone said those were fake:)
Posted almost 12 years ago
I thought the rear Zipp was fake at first, but I'm pretty sure it's just been painted black and had new decals applied. Look at the dimpling on it, I don't think I've seen Chinese rims like that. The 32h part is pretty funky though.

There was the same kind on ebay selling not to long ago. 32h carbon, but who knows. I've seen hubs & zipp rims custom drilled. He does have a super nice bike in general. That job on the rear costs a thousand if all the parts are used. but it seems to have that firecrest version decals!

48*19 ... must be used to get the grocery then ... LOL !!
Otherwise, the bike is superb, even if I agree with previous comment about the pedals ...

48*19 riding 100rpm which is quite high will get you at 21 mph speed. This is nice to cruise along and get the grocery, but for higher pace ride, you will be spinning like a maniac.
as far as the pedals, i think it doesn't match the other components of the bike. Everything is modern and slick and high teck, but the vintage pedals looks silly.
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see these pedals on a vintage bike project, just not on your more modern frame and component.
It is not the pedals themselves, it is the "cohesion as a whole".

oh i see. i'm not a pro rider, it is for fun. the reason why i chose this ratio because it is easy to skid for me. i'm planning to buy a vintage frame so on that time all the vintage components will be use on my new vintage frame~

so you thing i use a cheap carbon rim with zipp decals posing as a real zipp???what the fuck man! so i responded by asking, why are you so sure my 808 is a cheap carbon rim? do you have any sure evidence? if you just did not think zipp 808 rim exist 32h one and conclud this is a fake one or something, that is ignorant!
moreover if you still stubborn think that is a fake one then why would i have a real zipp front one? you do not think the front one is fake, do you?

First of all, you should re-read my comments. I never said YOU are using a cheap carbon rim. I never said anything about YOUR rear wheel.
I was just saying that "a cheap carbon fiber rim + zipp decals never made a pair of zipp wheels." and that was a comment as regards to the link you posted ( http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/colnago-d... ) where there are pictures of the wheelset without the decals, and as I already said, "everything is possible" ... fake ones, real ones, who cares ?
I don't care if they are real or not, my opinion is not the point. I just agree with ArferBar that this is a strange looking zipp you have.
Now your comment about "what the fuck", "ignorant", "stubborn" is a little over the top and you act like you are guilty of something. just saying ...
here is a link for you: http://www.howtoargueontheinternet.com/

ok, let me tell you something dont hasty judge or doubt everything that you never see it, all right? please dont have tunnel vision, thats so silly, doubt this doubt that, thats not funny ok man?~ let me give you another example, http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/pelizzoli... the owner said his shamals have polished they were strange too, please leave your question comments go ahead~
this guy arferbar said if i cant offer some reasons to explain it then he's going to thing my rim is chinese carbon, so you agree with him, that means you all have same points. in conclusion you think this rim is chinese as well. that's really hilarious. at last please dont

at last please dont quibbled ok? you didnt have any evidence to support your distrust at all ok? oh please dont say" i never said this i never said that" all right? dont be such a boy~however thanks for your link. anyway merry xmas spend time on your old man~have a nice day~

im VERY suspicious of that rear rim, strangest zipp iv ever seen
Posted almost 12 years ago
its that the decals, colour and finish are all suspect. what have you had done to it?
Posted almost 12 years ago
Riiiiiiiiiight.......since you cant tell me anything about it, im going to stick with it being a Chinese carbon rim unless you can tell me otherwise
Posted almost 12 years ago
ok Mr identifier you believe whatever you want. but i wanna tell you my d2 pista and other parts are Chinese, ok? you satisfy?
Posted almost 12 years ago
hey look at this http://www.pedalroom.com/bike/colnago-d...
you should suspicious those 404s
Posted almost 12 years ago
if you look further down, there is a picture of these wheels without decals, so everything is possible. cheap corbon fiber rims + zipp decals doesn't make a pair of Zipp wheels.
Posted almost 12 years ago
Zipp doesn't do custom rims... and the decals are off; also the texture and finish of the rear wheel doesn't look like that of a zipp. Still a nice rear wheel, but I do suspect that it isn't a real Zipp 808.

this is the old generation zipp clincher 32h rim and i bought a chub rear hub built it up by myself. plus please do watch your smart mouth and i dont wanna explain anymore
Posted almost 12 years ago
