yeah ! the Synapse has a taller stack hence able to slam with the 5mm top cap and will have the same stack on your caad 12 with spacers. do you have an instagram account that i could follow. I am building a Synapse while we speak. thank you !

what blinker + bracket are you using under your saddle on your latest pic ?

looks neat.

Yes, exactly. But I like the Synapse because it's not as tall as some "endurance" frames (and it doesn't have too slack a headtube IMHO, so it doesn't feel like a barge). Apart from the unusual BB standard it seems like a good frame. Done almost 5000km now and I'm happy with it.
I'm not on Insta/FB, sorry, but feel free to send me a message thru pedalroom if I can help.
My rear light is an Exposure TraceR, which can I recommend. Bright, durable, USB charging and good battery life. The mount is their own, bought separately, saddle rail fitting.

Thanks for sharing man ! Like you. I am a size 54 as well but instead of a Caad 12. I've a Caad 10 myself.

I guess i am mostly sorted out on the new build. Just waiting for parts to arrive and everything to dial in properly.

Well then. I will blast away if ive any questions. Upload more photos !

@diecast great build !
assumed size 54 ?
May i know if you are using the factory 5mm top cap / spacer that came under the conical spacers to slam it
Thank you !

diecast says:

Yes to both. It's a size 54 and I'm using the hidden 5mm spacer.

Is there an additional 10mm on top of the 5mm ?

diecast

diecast says:

No additional spacers, just the 5mm bearing cover then the stem.
Compared with my CAAD12 (also 54) which does have a 5mm spacer above the same bearing cover, the Synapse is still a few mm taller I think.

Not too shabby for disc. This frame seems to strike a good balance between performance and utility considering it's lightish and takes full length mudguards. I might build one up next year if the opportunity presents itself. Keen to hear how it rides.

diecast says:

Yep, my thoughts exactly. Unfortunately it's that time of year again and the mudguards will be going on soon.

That is a good looking bike! How does the ride compare to your caad12?

Good question. Not done many km on the Synapse yet, but it's noticeably smoother than the CAAD12. I have to say though, I love the CAAD12 so it's got a lot to live up to
