thanks ! appreciate it ! i have another one being put together right now. waiting on a few last parts but it'll be up soon. as for the stand, its a PRO (Shimano) stand, and its also made by a bunch of other companies

Why the BBright adapter and not straight BB30/PF30?

Posted over 11 years ago

jwhan

jwhan says:

this and all new cervelos use a bbright bottom bracket that cervelo developed. they have to use bbright cranks that are made my rotor, and fsa or you can use bb30 cranks with an adapter

Ah i see. So only the gxp version + adapter is the only compatible for the 2012 Red cranks, and not the BB30 version.

i've only had one decent ride on it (the weather has been ugly) and it was pretty good. still not sure if i should be on this or the bull so will probably switch at the shop for a try (but definitely not the arione i was one before). its a great saddle, just need to make sure you get the right one for you

So nice! That new sram red is so awesome. Why the change from S5 to R5?

Posted over 11 years ago

jwhan

jwhan says:

S5 was awesome and super fast, but i'm just not built for that bike. i love the overall ride of the R5. Both bikes are amazing tho !

arelyt says:

yeah the S5 looks like it would be way too stiff. i prefer the overall look of the R5's as well.

good eye !
i did go from a 51 to a 54. if you look at my s5 and my saddle and seatpost position, set back and slammed almost all the way back, the 54cm made it easier and more comfortable to get into the position i liked. i have a longer torso so i was re-fitted onto a 54. the measurements of my R5 setup is very very similar to the S5
