Did you have any trouble with the brake studs aligning properly when tightening them when installing them?

I did and honestly never really found a trick, I just had to try it a few times.

I want to build it with the same headset. Can you tell me what size I should buy? Is it 1 1/8 both on headtube and steerer? See size table here: https://www.chrisking.com/product/nothr...

What I meant to ask is whether the headset I should buy is straight or tapered. Is this the right one? http://www.wiggle.com/chris-king-no-thr...

Thanks! Your work setup as a cross bike was a big inspiration to set mine up in a similar way. Mines just not quite as nice components wise haha

you asked, so . . . drops look better, but not the ergo's. but the risers are well done & seems to suit the relaxed gearing.
the patina is turning out nice - can still tell it's a quality frameset that's earning it's own 'story'. & certainly helps that you've put the exact components everyone should build these with. however, I agree w/ the others that part of the joy this frameset offers is the tire clearance; rock those 32 gators!
above all, it's your bike, but . . . those pedals gotta go. time atac's come to mind or @ least put some caged toshi straps on there.

Not really sure what you mean about the pedals... they are time atacs. appreciate it.

yeah, saw that after I posted. my pedal reference was for the sylvan. will continue to watch how this build, it's very well done

nice. how do you keep it from rusting?
Posted over 9 years ago
I dont haha. Theres a bunch of spider rust, mostly on the top tube and the seat tube

If I had this frame I'd probably run 32c Gatorskins just for the hell of it.

How do you like the 47x17 ratio?
Posted about 10 years ago
I like it for what I use the bike for. I could stand to gear up a little but It can handle a good amount of climbing without being super spinny on a descent. Gear ratios are kind of a personal preference thing
