Schönes Update. Steht immer noch sehr gut da für so ein „altes“ Rad!

The new setup, is that just an old SRAM Red shifter set with vinyl tape?

yes, its an old sram red shifter set, but no vinyl tape. i removed the logos with a cutter knife and abrasive paper.

damn that fork though!!

yes, i take care to use solid, established parts.
fork is very solid as well, despite its filigree appearance

looks great. still getting used i guess?
no problems with 700x28? i know those mavic wheels are relative narrow internal width

Thank you. Of course the bike ist getting used.
No problems at all with 700x28, lots of space left. And, yes, the Mavics are rather narrow

right on! why did you swap to the ENVE fork ? it does look nice on there but then i always thought the original fork looked great too.

RSchwentke says:
The Enve fork gives the bike a more agile handling, due to its 50 mm rake. Trail now is 60mm, vs 67mm with the Focus fork (43mm rake)

Came here to ask "why" and see my question already asked and answered! For me the original fork of the Izalco Max is a key maybe even the key for the classic very good look of this bike. However the Enve fork does also look good and not out of place at all. So if the Enve fork helps to make the bike a better ride for you than that's the way go!

Imo the original fork looks better, and its although lighter. Nevertheless, the idea to change the fork resulted from comparing the Focus to the Urgestalt, which is my all-time-favorite concerning handling. I just wanted the Focus to behave as similar as possible.
