Believe to have narrowed this down to a '97-'98, but I still have not found an example with the "squared-off" top tube rear "extension". All examples are "rounded-off" and don't stick out as far, also black forks vice yellow. Tried contacting Brian Walton's business, but no response.

Frame size: approximately 53 cm Seat tube, 54 cm top tube; both c-c measurements.

Thanks for the links mokala! Brian was no slouch! And nice Cyclops track ride (orange one) btw. I am a little surprised that this bike almost fell through the cracks now knowing some of its provenance! It was a lot dirtier when I picked it up and still needs a good cleaning. It was being used by someone as a "go to the corner store" bike with an absolutely horrendous front wheel when I received it. Paid $100 and thought that was too much; apparently it was a steal from my end. I've yet to see a matching frame design so I still can't get a year based on the link material and other references I've checked. Big difference is the TT extension which is "squared-off" as opposed to the rounded examples I've seen based on the Team bikes. I thought that it was a bike given as a promotional giveaway with a car purchase; yes I am an idiot! Now I need to detemine wheelset type, knowing it had at least Mavic rims and probably(?) hubs also.

reading that Velocipede thread, looks like it was a Mavic Cosmic Carbone wheelset. Easy to find a current set, but one from 1998... (°-°)

Awesome find, btw. What size is it?

This is a very special bike indeed. This was raced by Canadian Pro Cyclist Brian Walton when Team Saturn was racing GT bikes in 1997 and 1998. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Wal...

It should be restored an put in a cycling museum!
