Jamis Coda - Reynolds 520

Sold 12/12/21

Frame:
19" Reynolds 520 double butted chromoly steel, dark gray and silver

Fork/Headset:
Jamis Chromoly, 1-1/8" threadless, super tall steerer tube!

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Square taper Tange old school 3pc BB, 68x118; Sugino 170 crankset with a mish-mash of alloy rings. Swapping to this setup saved me about 12 ounces of weight over the stock boat anchor crank/BB.

Pedals:
Alloy rat trap style

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Shimano 3x8; 26/36/46 (I think); 12-28t

Derailleurs/Shifters:
Shimano Acera 8spd rapidfire shifter, Shimano Deore DX thumb shifter (it's a right side 7spd shifter mounted below the bar on the left side; allows for better FD control using friction mode); Shimano Deore rear derailleur, Shimano 400LX front derailleur.

Handlebars/Stem:
No-name stem; generic 30d sweep handlebar from ebay; inward mounted carbon fiber barends (this setup is my poor man's alt bar; costs less than half the price of a Surly Moloko, Crazy Bar or Jones bar).

Saddle/Seatpost:
Bontrager 27.2 post; Brooks B-17 saddle

Brakes:
Tektro V Brakes

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Formula/Alex 700c; Panaracer Comet 700x38c tire (measures closer to 40)

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Formula/Alex 700c; Panaracer Comet 700x38c tire

Accessories:
Carbon fiber barends

More Info:
This frame is actually a bit too short for me. Unfortunately, my measurements usually fall in between most framesets available on the market, so I end up with a bike that is either too large (like my Nova Pro) or too small (like this Coda). Oh well. If I had $1500 for a quality frameset, this wouldn't be a problem.
