Nice bike man. Im thinking of stripping my flite, hows the feel?

Posted over 8 years ago

Tommo

Tommo says:

Thanks. Depends if it's a reissue or an original. If you have an original its great, nice and flexy. I also stripped a reissue and the shell material is way thicker and less flexy so i wouldn't bother.

Thanks man. Its a 1987 flite, i asked my friend to reupholster it cause its already beaten up, but the work he did was really bad so thats why im planning to strip it .Thanks man for the review.

No problem. Once the leather and foam was off I trimme the mold lines with a Stanley knife, then wet sanded it with 600, 400 and 1000 grit paper. They can polish up quite nicely if you take your time.

I love this one, Dialed! Was this a custom order? Are those silver decals or is that unpainted raw?

Posted over 11 years ago

Tommo

Tommo says:

Thanks. Yeah, it has raw logos. Thinking about switching to TB14's after seeing yours, looks fresh with the low profile rim. How d'you find them?

Posted over 11 years ago

vikkyvee

vikkyvee says:

Thanks, I had my mechanic from PHX Bike order them for me. Aside from recently moving to a 90 Thomson Sten I would change a thing about my bike but I would definitely consider the Archtype also though. If you're looking for the TB-14 those I have sets floating around on Ebay.

Posted over 11 years ago

Tommo says:

I've read good things about the TB14's, especially if you ride a 23 tyre, nice cornering i heard.

Yea, I'm rocking 25 and it's solid especially when paired with the high BB of the Low, love the stance.

how tall r you?? Im thinking of ordering one just not sure what size... im riding a 52cm right now and it feels too small, the only difference is that its not a pursuit and in turn a lot lower

Posted almost 12 years ago

Tommo

Tommo says:

I'm 5 11, my last bike was also a pursuit but a 52, this fits way better. It's quite a bit taller due to the higher bb.
