This was one of those dream bikes that I missed out on when Lynskey released it a few years ago. They replaced it with a model that has a squared downtub, triangular top tube, and tapered head tube, all of which I'm not a fan of. I loved the flat top tube, 44mm straight head tube, and helix tube of the older model. I don't believe the Helix tube actually does much, but I find it visually striking (and just weird). It's a pretty phenomenal blend of speed and comfort ready for pavement (with 650x48b slicks), dirt, and gravel (with 650x50b knobbies).

incredible build. the smooth speed & reliability of your groupset, comfy classy tires, precise/ compliant fork, great bag choices & best of all . . . combining a B17 w/ CG-R. huge smiles for that; do you feel the CG-R can still help comfort the ride further given your overall setup already w/ tires & saddle?

Thanks! CG-R definitely cuts a little edge off even with the B-17 and high volume tires. All the little things really add up.
I'd probably go with the Ergon split post if my saddle was high enough. Tests showed that the Ergon actually moves nearly twice as much with even less impact than the CG-R, resulting in 2-3mm more give and compliance on each bump.
A Lauf Grit is on the way though, and that will be the final piece to lock in comfort within a reasonable stiff ride ready for pavement and light single track.

glad you referenced the Canyon/Ergon split post as well & got excited to see you'll be adding a Lauf Grit @ some point. hope it's the right balance of deflection & stiffness . . . but for all that I will certainly stay tuned
