Nice bike! I'm getting a kick out of it because I had to mount my cyclocomputer in the same place and probably for the same reason LOL. The gearing is serious business. Good luck with a nice bike.

90s aerospokes sweet!

how much does your frameset cost?

Posted over 11 years ago

ajo89

ajo89 says:

Yea man, I love(d) it-got a Hed3 now, pics soon. I bought the full bike for £900, but I've changed pretty much everything apart from the frame. I think you can buy the frame alone for about 450/500? Your chromed Raleigh is fucking badass!

Posted over 11 years ago

nagillum

nagillum says:

yeah i want to buy a full carbon track frame... also my raleigh isnt really chrome, but i stripped it to the bare steel, then polished it by hand, until it came out to a chrome like finish. Thanks!

Posted over 11 years ago

ajo89

ajo89 says:

I prefer the idea of stripping something to bare steel than having it chromed, I reckon it looks better that way! If you're looking for a reasonably priced carbon frame then I'd definitely recommend this. Currently weighs 7.4 kg :)

do you skid alot with this carbon track bike? how about bottom bracket flex, when you mash on the pedals? my Alu schwinn, flexs like hell...

Posted over 11 years ago

ajo89

ajo89 says:

I used to skid a fair bit on a 48/15 ratio, but I'm running 48/13 now because I wanted more top-end speed. I'm using a front brake too so not skidding much at all any more!
