For sure! My fork should be done in a week or two so I'll be back soon
Posted about 8 years ago
you must be tall. how tall are you? I'm 6'9". The reach is actually really long on this bike according to the all-city website. I think I want one if i can make it fit
Posted about 8 years ago
I'm 6'5". You might be able to make it work, but I can't say for sure. Check out the 63cm bare knuckle. It's the biggest production track bike I know of
Posted about 8 years ago
Thanks for the reply! I've been lusting after the bareknuckle for a long time. I've always hesitated because it seems to have a standard to short top tube for its seat tube length though. It's easy to overcome short seat tubes but not short top tubes. I don't know if all city just measures their reach differently, or what. but they put it at 435! That's super duper long compared to most 61s out there. I think that this bike is the ticket. Last question: did it show a lot of steerer before you cut it? I can definitely make it fit if it has another inch or two more.

How does that Phil OBB treat you? Im trying to decide between that and a chris king and wanted to get some opinions
Posted over 8 years ago
No complaints so far! It's very smooth. I'd definitely recommend it over the chris king.

Such a beautiful build! What inspired you to get the Thunderdome?
Posted over 9 years ago
how do you like the EAI? Couple dude swear by them, but I'm not convinced their worth the $$$
Posted over 9 years ago
The cog? They're the best cogs I've ever used. Definitely worth it for the deluxe.

what's your beef with direct drives?
Posted almost 10 years ago
No real beef just at this point I'm convinced sugino made them to trick people into thinking they were modernizing, but they're really just a cash grab. They also won't be making them in my size apparently ever.

+1 to that, just stick with og 75s, the two top three hundred dollar price gap really isn't worth it.

Did you ever get a weight for that wheelset? Outstanding bike btw, this is why I love DA hubs
Posted almost 10 years ago
No, but I'll weigh them next chance I get. The bike weighs 17 lbs with the omniums though.

Beautiful build. Not sure your reason for letting it go (replaced by the AC2? ha) but sure is a bummer. Curious how you liked the SimWorks Wonderer?

Jehu says:
Yeah I was looking to shake things up a bit and get something that I could ride around like this bike and could race like the cervelo. AC2 looked like a good fit so I went for it.
I like the wonderer bars and still use them on my road bike!
