Trek T1

This is my most recent track bike build and my favorite thus far. I've always wanted one of the early "made in the USA" T1's but they were always super thrashed if any ever popped up. I got super lucky and scooped this one up in almost NOS condition. Of course I had to modify the bike to fit my riding style and dumped much more money into the bike. The final product is a 15.46lb BEAST (with decorative brake ha ha). I'm super happy with the bike and feel faster than ever. These early T1's are seriously under-rated.

Frame:
58 Trek T1 (2007 I think)

Fork/Headset:
Bontrager Approved Track Carbon

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
167.5 Sram Omnium with GXP BB

Pedals:
Time ATAC XS Carbon

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
FSA 51t/Dura Ace 16t/Sram PC7X chain

Handlebars/Stem:
FSA 70MM 6DEG- with 42cm Profile Cobra Wing Bar

Saddle/Seatpost:
Easton EA70 CNT Composite 0 offset seatpost with Romin EVO Pro 143 saddle

Brakes:
Cane Creak SCR-3 calliper hooked to SRAM carbon tt lever

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Bontrager Race X Lite F (16 spoke) with S-Works Turbo 23's and Specialized Turbo Tube

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Bontrager Race X Lite R (16 spoke) with S-Works Turbo 23's and Specialized Turbo Tube

More Info:
The Wheels on this bike are not the crappy stock Bontrager Select Track that the bike comes with; These are much lighter although I do get some pinging every once in a while because of the low spoke count

Those stickers are actually available through 4frnt (google "4frnt dang sticker"). It's a ski company but I started putting them on my bikes and now everybody wants one. I'd say go have one made but they're copyright protected.

Thanks man. I've been really happy with this build. The wheelset is great (much better than the stock wheelset), although the low spoke count stresses me out a little. They're super light so they're great climbing wheels too. I'm waiting for the day I pull a spoke through the rim and then I'll probably build an archetype laced to chubs set.

Not sure why my bars would suck to ride. I've had this same bar/stem combo on my last two bikes and they've been great. When I run track drops I throw on a longer stem too. Nice bikes by the way :0
