At first, I was also unsure how it will work. In fact, it's just fine. Even when there is snow cover. I am able to brake safely and this bike does not go THAT fast. :) Last winter I rode track bike with 23c tires brakeless just fine. But I will try to hot set rear bridge with bit more bend, so bike can handle 35c tires + guards. Thanks anyway.

first, how is this a negative comment ?

look, my friend. I bike thru tons of snow and ice every winter in conditions that are so harsh and dangerous that most cyclists don't even bother.

trust me, if single brake is sketchy in normal conditions, single brake in snow and ice is just suicidal. it's an advice, not a negative comment.

i post positive comments for bikes that I like

most of my negative comments also, are directed toward tarcky bikes mass-produced somewhere in asia. i hate them and the marketing of them.

i have *several* issues with those and with people who ride them. other than just very bad style and cultural appropriation (messenger culture), i got into very serious accidents with tracktards in the city. i saw one of them almost die in front of me, passing out in a convulsive manner.

so yeah, sorry...... sorry if someone who buys a 1000$ tarcky ride gets a negative vibe from me on pedalroom !
move on.
