I found my sweet spot to be just below 80 gi

47/16, 48/17, 49/18 are good gears for many situations.

52-15 is awesome if you want to have to have knee surgery by the time you're 30

47-17 the best

now I use 46-16, not bad tho'. But I still searching for 47T chainring, kinda hard to find it here. It seems 47-16 will be nice since 50-17 which is almost the same ratio as 47-16 are the best setup I've had that fits me well

hey this might sound a bit absurd, but what gear ratio would you recommend If I would ride up hill? Using a fixed gear? thanks

Heres my 2 cents if your interested. I ride 46x17 and it's a great gear to start with. A 17t will be the only rear cog I use, except for on track, because of the high number of skid patches.

49/17. I did paradise loop all the time on that and it worked well... which was like a 50 mile ride.

55 : 15. I personally think it's easy. Less rpms are more comfortable for me.

50/17. High 70's gear inch. 17 skid patch. Its beast for passing NYC cabs. But it totally depends on the type of riding you do and your commute..
