anyone use the time atac alium's?

just ordered a pair to use with some mavic pulse shoes.

opinions on pedals? anyone out there have this set up?

I dig them. Big enough platform area and of course double sided, so you don't have to try so hard to clip in.

I use them and love them, though I'm afraid to ride with them on my brakeless bikes.

The last time I rode with them I came unclipped hitting a pothole down a steep hill and crashed hard, ruining my race, destroying my front wheel, and putting a giant hole in my arm. It was only the second time I came unclipped on them ever, and it may have been because my cleats were simply too worn.

That. Plus they aren't really designed for that use I guess. They feel safe to me. But worn cleats is worn cleats :P

they are solid pedals. i have been using them for about two and a half years on both my fixed and sscx bikes with "hard" riding. hah

Yeah i'll be riding with them on my kilo, but since its coming winter time i'll probably put a brake on any way and will be good for me to get use to them.

When they come in next week, it'll be only the first time i've even tried clip less.

nice float. unadjustable but its fine - tension comes near perfect. a bit heavy. overall nice as a commuter set.

How does the tension on the aliums compare to that of shimano 105s?
