Clipless pedals for fixed gear.

Recommendations for pedals that can stay clipped in while skidding? (Besides og time atacs, they are hard to find)

I've popped out of eggbeaters and atacs, but never spd. no pedal is foolproof. I ride spd's now but would still feel good on vintage or new time atacs. its pretty impossible to come unclipped in a road style pedal, but riding those creates a whole different slew of issues.

Whatever cleat system you choose, go with lace-up shoes.

I use Shimano XT spd's. never had an issue and you can even adjust the retention on them. Clip in from both sides of the pedal and tons of shoe options that don't make you look like a clown walking around with massive road cleats.

I absolutely love my Speedplay Frogs. SPD, two-sided with a large platform, easily serviceable, and made in the U.S. I've never unclipped.

I use every or have used virtually every pedal variant. I recommend Power Grips for skidding.
