Clipless road pedals

(closed)
I just started using clipless road pedals on my fixed and I'm used to riding with no breaks but I was wondering if in any case I have to skid to slow down will I clip out and eat it? I don't normally skid at all unless its an emergency or something, I'm used to back peddling
I'm using shimano 105 5700 road pedals

you wont clip out as long as you dont twist out your foot/ankle. it can happen on accident sometimes but otherwise you should be okay

I'd bump the tension up a notch too.

Yea I used to use mtb set up a couple months ago and I clipped out one to many times
I haven't clipped out of my road set up yet, I just haven't been in that situation where I have to skid anyways
