Dura Ace 7600 Track bb

(closed)
So the gt pulse i just got came with a dura ace 7600 track crank. I got it just before I left (and I won't be back to it until the end of summer), but I was wondering if all 7600 cranks are njs? I've been researching for compatible bb's with the 7600 and most people recommended njs bb's since the da (njs they always specified) are iso tapers. I've read that the original 7600bb came in 68x107, but thats all I know. I also know that they pretty much don't exist either, which sucks.

I noticed the da hubs that came with the pulse are only 28h, unlike the 36 njs version, so I began to wonder if my 7600 cranks weren't njs. I didn't spend enough time looking at the bike before I left, but I wanted to set a plan out this summer (of what to replace/buy) so when i get back to the bike i can finish it as soon as possible.

If my thought process about the bb is wrong, then what is/are acceptable bb's for 7600 track cranks? What has worked for you? Are all da 7600 cranks njs?

any iso square taper with correct threading. go to a bike shop and buy the cheapest shimano sealed bearing bottom bracket. probably like 30 bucks.

^ Bad advice. Shimano doesn't make an ISO BB.

I know a few people who are using Sugino 75 BBs and one using a that are working just fine (with a chainline of about 44mm). You could also use a .

I would think you could use a Hatta Swan B.B. or Campagnolo.

Miche BBs are fine, you just have to know how to install them. Like anything else, most people who claim to not like them have never used one.

miche's are only good because they are so damn affordable :P

but annoying because they require the stupid campa tool

just remember to loctite that sucker. those cups back out easily.

Annoying? The Park BBT-5 costs $8.00.

I've seen a few where the nds cup will back out slightly over time but my wife has a Miche BB on her and isn't having any trouble, even without Loctite. Proper torque goes a long way.

I'm sitting on my porch with no shirt or shoes on, drinking a cup of iced ginger tea. I'm pretty relaxed.

Dude, seriously...nobody is getting worked up into a hot lather over which BB you use.

I always think it's funny when people accuse others of being pissed on the internet, especially considering that if we were having this conversation in person you'd see I'm a pretty mellow guy.
