Fake Thomson post?

(closed)
No lettering on the front saying Front and the side isn't badged with the adjusting either. Also the top piece is molded slightly different. In the photo below I have a 31.6 with all the correct markings on it and on the left is my new 27.2

Thoughts please

is it new as in 'shop-new' or just newly bought? looks very much like older thomsons.

It's a Thomson. Weight should be a giveaway too

Personally I've just never seen one like it. Now it's bored out the same as all the others. So it's oval inside and it seems to have less rib on it. Ya know that sound it makes when you stroke it. Haha

Also it seems a tad heavier then the 31.6. That's what threw me in the beginning

my gf has a thomson elite 27.2 seatpost.

the only thing that is different is that the top clamp does not say front or back or shows 0 degrees BUT it does say thomson, and have the dial number in the clamp and have the patent numbers, serial, model number, and made is usa

Both real. The one on the right is older.
