looking to spend around £250. Will be using it daily getting to work etc, then just cruising with mates. Been looking on Bricklanebikes.co.uk but not sure if they'd be suited. sound though I'll check kilo out

£250 is a small amount of money to spend on a bike. I recommend finding a used bike that's already built. Be sure it has a front brake and foot retention (straps and toeclips). You might be able to pick up a used Kilo TT for that much.

Find something used locally. And buy complete. A decent lugged track frame with beater components should do you justice. Then swap out parts, take offs. I'm SF I found a complete bareknuckle for 320$. Just an example
