Specialized S-Works Adjustable Stems

Do you have any experience with this adjustable stem? Do they really work? I need stem that has 16 degrees.

its a shim that allows you to adjust rise.

i have the stem on my MTB with the -16 and it works fine

Dont these require a proprietary headset spacer or something?

nope it should work on all bikes that are 1-1/8

They're good stems, but a bit heavier than other stems because of the shim. There are various shims that you can get to adjust the angle and they do require a proprietary top cap that is offset.
