sticker residue can suck it

(closed)
My FTP has some pretty stubborn sticker residue on it.

I usually use Goo Gone but sometimes it just doesn't work.

Just curious if you guys have had any luck with any other products/methods

Everywhere I've looked says Acetone is a bad idea since it will/can damage the paint or clear coat.

Nail polish remover. WD40. Rubbing alcohol. Gasoline. I've even used duct tape to get rid of adhesive a time or two. Depending on the type of adhesive used you may need to try different solvents.

I've used acetone on both painted bikes and carbon... never had any issues in my experience. I apply the acetone with a soft cloth, then use electrical tape to pluck off the sticky residue.

Elbow grease. Regardless of sticker type or solvent, you always need plenty of elbow grease.

What would your great great grandfather do? He didn't have goo gone, and he also had tuberculosis, but you didn't hear him complaining.
