Stolen Cervelo T1, please keep an eye out

(closed)
My Cervelo T1 was stolen out of my yard at around 4am this morning in Silverlake, right above Trader Joe's on Hyperion. It's currently got a blue fork and a silver wheel installed, not the red fork and black wheel that's in the picture. If you see it anywhere, craigslist, on the street, etc. please call me at 213.700.9809 This shit really sucks, so please keep an eye out.

Renters insurance is a possibility, since it was locked up

I'm reporting it tomorrow

sorry to hear about your loss...

getting your bike stolen is like the same level as a relative dying in my book

Sucks! Sorry to hear. Post it up on CL, FB, file a police report with the serial number.
Why didnt you store the bike indoors? Especially one with that price tag.

Also, I see that you recently had the T1 up for sale. Did any of the interested parties take a look at the bike in person? Or did you give out your address?

^ same questions. did you ever have someone come to your house to look at the bike? or maybe near your house where they could've seen you ride home?
either way...I live a few miles away from you, so I'll also keep a lookout

I had put it up for sale the day before, but no one had come and looked at it.

you gotta pretend youre desperate for the bike

if he is offering 425 obo, offer 600, its making him know that youre "desperate" to get it before anyone does

I went up quite a bit, maybe even suspiciously far.

have you tried to contact him again?

plus check ebay also, he might also sell it on there also

call the cops about that ad. i hope you filed a police report when it was stolen. cops will cooperate usually if you can track down the bike yourself.

Glad it was posted already. I just saw it listed on CL and came here to let the owner know. Hope you get your bike back.

@nightstalker - Yes, I've tried. He wouldn't try to sell it on eBay, he can barely string together a coherent sentence, let alone make a PayPal account.

@zeb - Yeah I filed a report last week.

@sixsixsix - Yeah thanks man.

Fuck bringing cops. Bring a few of your friends and baseball bats.

I hope you get your bike back, man.

I brought friends, and weapons. But, living in LA it's usually not a good idea to handle shit like this on your own unless you can guarantee the outcome of the situation, which I couldn't. I had no idea what the guy looks like, if he's bringing friends, etc. so I decided it would be best to bring the cops in on it.

His ad is so sketchy and obviously has no idea what he's talking about. All he could do was name the colors of the frame and some of the components. In the words of a bafoon..."this is a legit track fixie!"

I hope you find him and bring him vigilante-style justice.
