Looking for a new wheelset and have about 250, any suggestions?
Again, depends on your riding preference and what you intend to do. Deep v's and B43's are more for street use and could really take a beating if you're into tricking or if you're riding on rough streets. If you want something more classy and lightweight, I'd definitely go with Mavic Open Pros.
I'd rather go with the deep v's. b43's are pretty ridiculous imo.
or if you're staying with velocity, maybe try out aerohead or fusion? the a23's are also good.
lace em up to something decent too!

i prefer the deep v by a lot. b43s are heavy, unless you gonna do some tricks with your bike, b ut then the deepv is still strong enough to be abused (e.g hitting potholes)
B43's are stupid imo. Either deep v's or open pros.
Alloy deeps are so 2005. Get carbon deeps.
^ this.
Now watch as a deluge of used Deep Vs and B43 wheelsets are released onto CL and eBay while kids ask their parents for upgrade money.
b43's are really unnecessary and deep v's can take much more abuse than a lot of people give them credit for. Those open pros are nice if you can then cop those.
If you're considering the Open Pro's, I'd check Velospace. I always see them for sale in the marketplace.
OPs are just as durable as Veeps imo.
I have the b43s and they're a but heavy.
what about ellipse? Good for the road?
I usually commute to school or go for long rides. The streets I ride are decent so not a lot of damage to the time, should I save up for those instead?

op's are probably around as durable as a deep v but are definitely lighter. imo i dont think ellipses are appropriate for real commuting and if you want something more like an ellipse then you should look in to the miche pistard wheelset
miche pistards are like the beater version of ellipses. +1 on that
or you could try H+son SL42, a good chunk lighter than the deep v.
An SL42 is heavier than a deep v.
Deep V's.
I had B43's before and Deep V's look nicer (imo) and are much lighter.

Looks like I'm going the Deep V route. They look nice and I can swoop up a pair at my lbs.
B43s for sale if you live in The San Fernando Valley.
Lacing the deep v's Phil's good idea or pointless?

How about H+son Erro to all city hub? Any thoughts?
just about anyone on here will tell you deep v to phils is great for street use and is bombproof LOL. I picked up on a pair myself that I plan on using once I get all the parts together for my next build.
Sweet deep vs laced to Phil's it is :)
Thanks a lot guys!
Just got my new parts from retrogression, shipped super fast!

Hey guys i have another question my lbs can get me a new pair of Deep Vs for 260$
Do you guys thinks its a deal? The hubs are Velocity labeled so most likely formula, sooner or later i will lace em to phils. its just the wheelset.
I have all the other parts to complete em.
Yay or nay?

Nay for like 150 more you can get those laced to phils....
If you're really set on deeps laced to phils, I'd look around for that specific set up rather than getting them relaced down the road. You'll end up spending way more than you have to by purchasing the hubs, spokes, and labor alone.
