I'm doing a winter build and just got some challenge grifos for a good price but then learned that they wear out prematurely on ashphalt. Any sugfestions?
i'm really into my Panaracer Gravel King SK's
edit" yeah i had grifos and while i really love challenge tires they do wear out pretty quick and get flats all the time

Depends what kind of climate we're talking. Also are you racing? I've had very good luck with the Schwalbe X-one and by good luck, I mean it's the only tire I'll run. but if you live in a less rainy tire you might want to look into a wider tire with smaller knobs like the maxxis rambler or the Gravel King. If you're not racing fuck anything smaller than 35 and just run the biggest tire you can fit
No I'm not doing any racing , thanks for the feedback , will search for some other tires.
Check out 45NRTH tires, either the Xerxes or Gravdal nether are cx tires but are winter commuting specific and will fit on most cross rigs
