Human Powered Machines Long Haul

This is a cargo bike I made under the guidance of Jan Vandertuin and everyone else at the Center for Appropriate Transport in Eugene, OR (honestly it was more a team effort). I worked at CAT for a year and some change, and rode HPM bikes and trikes for work (HPM is under the CAT umbrella) as a courier and bike valet. I recognized the superiority of the Long Haul design over the rear-loading cargo bike was riding as a commuter and kid carrier, so for time and cost savings, Jan helped me build a Long Haul using the rear triangle/bottom bracket shell/top tube of an old 80s Miyata MTB. It was an awesome learning experience, and this is my favorite bike by far.

More Info:
New wheels, and I had a frame builder friend add a disc tab to the rear triangle, so now both brakes are disc units. Another friend and I also built a wooden cargo box, I just need to install it.

Awesome bike!!!

I'm not working as a messenger and haven't got any kids, I don't need to carry huge stuff either but I still want a cargo bike so bad...
