1970 AMF Roadmaster Renegade

This model was AMF's copy of the famous Schwinn Stingray (which itself was originally probably a copy of the Huffy Penguin). I found this a long time ago at a car parts swap meet.

Frame:
Steel cantilever frame with stamped steel dropouts

Fork/Headset:
Tubular steel fork with flattened ends for the dropouts, chrome crown

Crankset/Bottom Bracket:
Wald (?) one piece steel

Pedals:
Rubber platform pedals (unknown brand)

Drivetrain/Cog/Chainring/Chain:
Single speed Bendix cog, steel chainring (unknown brand), replacement chain

Derailleurs/Shifters:
none

Handlebars/Stem:
Wald handlebars and stem

Saddle/Seatpost:
Troxel saddle, stock steel seatpost and sissy bar

Brakes:
Bendix rear coaster brake: possibly it originally had a front caliper brake because there is a hole in the fork crown for one.

Front Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Steel rim, 28 hole Wald hub, Kenda 20 X 1.75 tire

Rear Wheel/Hub/Tire:
Steel rim, 28 hole Bendix model 70 coaster brake hub, Duro 20 X 2.125 slick

Accessories:
Chrome fenders (must have been standard on this model)
