Sweet! I have a 96 avalanche, but it has a crack at the top tube/head tube junction unfortunately.

Yeah 7000 series aluminum tends to be more brittle. Most manufacturers today use 6000 series because the weight savings isn't worth the frames cracking.

Yeah it’s crazy light. I rode it a few times single speed with big old Moto bars for a while before I knew it was cracked, holy shit that bike was quick.
