Current Stage Info:

I got sick of crappy carbon rim braking, so new wheels. And my old wheels were laced to a Powertap so I had to switch over to crank based.

Hmmm... This bike is perfect. Noticeable readings difference between the Quarq and Powertap?

Posted over 9 years ago

dudemanppl

dudemanppl says:

At 200w it's about a 10w difference with the Quarq reading 5% higher. But all time highest power was recorded with te PowerTap, which is higher by about 50, although that might be just training haha.

Cranks look great! Just be careful! Apparently, raw carbon can deteriorate from UV rays over time.

Switched the cranks out, but I didn't see any deterioration in the few miles I did.

Yea, I'm guessing it would take hundred of hours direct contact.

Actually it's China carbon... I had it all done before it was shipped to me.

But wait, you miss matched cassette and shifter... does it shift right? the spacing on campy and shimano 11 is different isn't it?

Posted almost 10 years ago

dudemanppl

dudemanppl says:

Fortunately all 11 speed is exactly the same spacing.

Also, just a tip, you should route the rear brake housing behind your front, so that when you turn the housings don't tug on each other

NICE! i just read up on it, didn't know the spacing worked so well! makes wheel swaps better!

I wish I could. The 100mm headtube + slammed -17 120mm stem + Yokozuna Reaction (stiff as hell) means this is basically the only setup I can run. But there doesn't seem to be any issues so that's nice.

dudemanppl says:

Stem and bar I used acetone. The post and cranks I sanded. It's under 14 on my hanging scale but I don't know how since the build list put together is a little over 14.
