2022 Surly Steamroller Hawaii

Its March 2023 and Retrogression just posted on Instagram that Surly was not going to produce any more Steamrollers once this years batch is done. So luckily, a friend of a friend of mine had one for sale in my size and I pulled the trigger.

I'll probably fuck around with the setup but adding a rack and handlebar bag has made this bike one of my favorites by far. Brings me back to when I had my Fyxation frame. :,)

Good stuff man. Fixed gears are stupid fun on the islands, and a Surly on 700x35+ is a beautiful thing for cracked up pavement and dirt roads.

Great point. It was gifted to me for free so I just use it. Its mostly a town shredder and the amount of potholes with the rocks that come out can almost justify as “gravel” which is probably the most off road use this bike will see.
