Its March 2023 and Retrogression just posted on Instagram that Surly was not going to produce any more Steamrollers once this years batch is done. So luckily, a friend of a friend of mine had one for sale in my size and I pulled the trigger.

I'll probably fuck around with the setup but adding a rack and handlebar bag has made this bike one of my favorites by far. Brings me back to when I had my Fyxation frame. :,)

Super Fun build for the Island life! I'd want a bit more spinny for the roads and trail out there! I dig it!

After adding a cargo rack i opted for an 18t cog but just feeling it out currently as im not sure how long imma keep the rack going. Still fun af to ride on

Great point. It was gifted to me for free so I just use it. Its mostly a town shredder and the amount of potholes with the rocks that come out can almost justify as “gravel” which is probably the most off road use this bike will see.
