I bought this off a coworker for $350 and have subjected it to a couple builds now. Went from Deore LX 7spd. to XTR 8 spd. the. XT 9 speed first gen and then finally XT 9 speed M772 with drop bars. Now I can finally take advantage of that sweet shadow tech and crisper shifting. This bike has some fun quirks and an over all sense of good build quality with True Temper OX tubing. I like the ritchey drop outs, seat tube lug with the Alpinestars logo engraved and thoughtful cable routing that reminds me of Yo Eddy’s. One quirk I am not fond of is the 1 1/4” headset, I found a quality shim set from an online machine shop and they seem to be working great for now.
