Big Nish, is a 26+ bike built around a 1991 Nishiki Cascade. This frame shares the the same frame as the Alien which is one of the rare 90s frames that provide insane clearance with both the fork and the chainstay easily clearing 26x2.8" WTB Rangers. I built it up as a singlespeed MTB with a 2.1 (42/20) gear ratio which is a magic gear that help me run it without a derailleur. The frame's elevated chainstay is it's worst enemy for a single speed build as it flexes when you pedal hard and pump/sprint with it. It happened to me once, but I managed to drop a chain due to the flex. Hence the chain guide on the front. The bike has a super short chainstay making it super easy to get it in the air and it's super fun to rise. Yes, the rims are too narrow, yes I will change it out at some point.
